신 선 영 辛善英 Sun Yung Shin is a poet, freelance writer, speaker, educator, consultant, and bodyworker in Minneapolis.
She is the author of three poetry books with Coffee House Press (2007, 2012, 2016), the editor of A Good Time for the Truth: Race in Minnesota (2016); the co-editor of Outsiders Within: Writing on Transracial Adoption (2006) with Chinyere Oparah and Jane Jeong Trenka (second edition coming in December from University of Minnesota Press); author of bilingual children’s book Cooper’s Lesson (2004); and author of chapbook Specimens of Immortality (2019) with visual artist Alexander Hage. With fellow Korean immigrant poet Su Hwang, author of Bodega (2019, Milkweed Editions), she is the co-director of Poetry Asylum.
